We sailed from Luxor to Aswan with visits along the way. The views from the boat and the arrival at Philae are the moments I remember from this trip.
My first stay was in 2025, then I came back with my sister in September 2026. This time the programme included more time for the paintings and a break before Hatshepsut. We could enjoy every visit in peace.
I enjoyed the trip right from the moment we approached the island by boat. The unfinished obelisk looks different once you hear the explanation. I'm glad we gave Aswan a full day.
The Valley of the Kings was the most important place for me, and the paintings inside are lovelier than in photos. Afterwards we enjoyed Hatshepsut's temple with the mountain behind it. A lovely day for photography and learning the history of the place.
The first visit was in 2025, and we came back with my mother in 2026. This time they chose a two-day programme for us with time to sit down between visits. We had more room to enjoy every place, and my mother was happy with the arrangements.
We saw Luxor first, then sailed calmly towards Aswan. I liked that the way between the temples became part of the rest too: we sat on deck and watched the banks.
Walking among those columns is nothing like seeing it in photos. We liked visiting only two sites and being able to ask our questions in peace.
The wall paintings in the Valley of the Kings were more vivid than I had imagined. Karnak is impressive too. We enjoyed how different the two banks feel, and we took lots of photos.
The huge statues impressed us from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed exploring both temples and hearing how they were moved. A very nice memory of our stay.
